I remember when God called
me to my first rally. I didn’t
know what to expect. The
only thing I knew was that
God was calling me to do
something that I had never
done before. He was calling
me to rally with others who
believe that abortion is
wrong. After a series of
dreams about babies being
snatched out of their mother’s
womb, the Catholic Church,
slavery and blood scarifies, I
knew Jesus was trying to get
me to pay attention to what
was going on around me.
Jesus was calling me to pray,
but He was also calling me to
getup and to do something.
I didn't know much about
abortion procedures or the
abortion laws.
I thought to myself,
“I’m not into politics”.
“What could I possibly
say”? Then the Holy
Spirit reminded me of
the time I had received
ungodly counsel to
murder my unborn babies by having an abortion. I though to myself
maybe I could just tell
my story and share the
love of Jesus to whoever would listen. I
can’t imagine the pain
and guilt I would have
experienced if I had
accepted that advice. “I
chose life for my babies”, and that’s what I
say to others. “Choose
Life”.
1. Seek advice from God in prayer.
2. Wait for an answer.
3.“What do you know about this issue”?
4.“How can my presence make a difference”?
5.“Am I ready to tell others about my faith”?
6.“What organization or ministry is inviting you
to the rally”?
7. Ask yourself, “Am I ready to be embarrassed
by the media”?
8.“Are you ready to be lied on”?
9. Ask yourself, “Are you ready to commit your
time and money if need be”?
10.“Is this something my children should see or participate in”?
11.“Am I prepared to be known as the lady or man at
the rally”? Remember, not everybody will understand
or like you views.
12. Ask yourself, “Am I ready to be surrounded by other
religions and denominations”?
13. “Am I prepared for violence and possibly jail time”?
Most rallies are peaceful but sometime things happen.
