In another example, Damon came across a woman who was paying 40 rupees ($0.65) daily to use government owned toilets, along with paying money for water she needed for daily usage. Her WaterCredit loan allowed her to utilize the Service Company, installing a water tap in her home and to construct a toilet for herself. She has to pay 40 rupees a month over a two-year period to repay the loan. Afterwards, she will only pay a small monthly water bill and her life will change for the better.

The positive stories keep coming. Mrs. Manonmani, a mother of two, was only able to access water once every four days. After obtaining a loan through WaterCredit, she was able to connect to the Service Company and have her own water tap. As a result, she can spend more time looking after her home and children, and work as couturier (seamstress) to generate a decent income for her family. In addition, Mrs. Manonmani can turn her newfound water into a business, charging a rupee ($0.2) per four basins collected, thus being able to repay her loan.
