Michael Franti is an internationally acclaimed musician, composer and lead singer for Spearhead, but he also happens to be a global activist for social justice who has a passion for serving the Greater Good through his music. A world-renowned musician, Michael Franti has been spreading his message of love, peace and social justice for decades.
As an E.R. nurse, his wife, Sara Agah, witnesses firsthand the toll that life-threatening medical conditions have on both patients and their loved ones. Michael and Sara had been looking for a project to work on together, and one night at a concert in 2013 ,DO IT FOR THE LOVE was born, with the simple goal of granting live concert wishes to people with life-threatening illnesses, children with severe challenges and wounded veterans. They believe in the power of music to help those who most need to feel supported, happy and hopeful, including the families of the grantees.
