On a personal level, my personal priority, as I mentioned earlier, is to earn the trust and love of every children and staff member through my commitment and responsibility. The wellbeing of every child and staff member comes first and foremost for me. If anyone is going through a challenge in their life, then being present to them, talking to them is my top priority. It is not about success or having something to show to the world that I have achieved; rather if my children and staff members are feeling happy, centered and grounded, I know I have done my job well. The core and heart of our work is compassion and wellbeing for all the children and people at the Community and beyond.

BP: Finally, what message would you like to tell our readers and what are the most current and pressing needs for you and for the community? In order words, how can we help?

lP: There are many areas where help is needed. The Get Involved page on our website offers some ideas. Currently, the most-pressing financial needs are capital funding for building our family houses as well as creating a college fund for the children’s higher education. We are also always looking for professional volunteers, especially teachers, wind and solar energy experts and agriculturists with experience who could visit the Community to enhance our staff and children’s learning in these areas.
