Richard is currently the Resident Pastor of FIFMI in the Pilbara Region in Western Australia where he is changing lives in order to change communities. He has a wealth of two decades in short and long term missionary and pastoral experience in a range of countries: Zimbabwe, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Bahrain, Samoa, Tonga, UAE, Qatar and Oman.
Now here is the true life story of Richard Mafuriranwa. Richard contacted me through Facebook in 2018. He introduced himself to me and explained how he followed me on social media and was impressed with my achievements and how I have been a positive influence to others including him as well especially with him completing his Masters Degree in Social Work.
He requested for a face to face meeting with me and we set a date and a time to meet. The venue wasn’t confirmed as I had only indicated to him that I would be happy to meet him in my office. After checking my google page, Richard got my address which happened to be my old office address. On the day of the proposed visit, Richard travelled a couple of hours to get to my office (my old office address of course). At 2pm, he called me to say he couldn’t find my address so I asked him where he was so that I could explain where to park then mentioned my previous office address. I gave him the new address and then he turned back and drove to my office. We met and spoke for a couple of hours.
Richard is a real influencer with numerous life changing stories of his impact on both young and old. He is a man who believes in networking and initiating conversations with people who have made certain desirable achievements.
