Salvation through Born Again
54
39 so we teach that he must lea-
rn the meaning of the scripture
stating– all are equal before God,
judge without partiality. He sho-
uld understand that our teaching
is not by sight. Our teaching is
that one should take new birth,
built on the foundation, should
completely repent and enter into
the kingdom of God as the Israe-
lites were redeemed from Egypt,
which is the apostles’ doctrine.
CHAPTER 3
We write to you that no one
should be weak in faith. Receive
one who is weak in faith and enc-
ourage him towards perfection.
2 Another one taking Satan’s
stand stating that the dead one-
’s spirit does not rest in peace
unless those ceremonial days are
observed. Many preachers con-
tinue praying and interceding at
the graveyard of the dead for
their peace. Another one obser-
ves anniversary.
3 They observe 3 rd day, 5 th day,
9 th day and 11 th day (1-15 day-
s) for the dead one’s peace as
gentiles do.
4 In this regard Satan – misin-
terpreted many through his te-
achers using the scripture stat-
The Salvation is the Gift of God
ing “The memory of the righte-
ous is blessed.”
5 Who taught men to observe
that dead one’s spirit rests in pe-
ace? Regarding this – the coun-
try men (Egypt), Israelites pilgri-
ms assessed that the dead body
stenches on 3 rd day and then the
man enters into heaven.
6 They think after noticing on the
fifth day that there was more
entrance, and again on the ninth
day, three by fourth part of the
dead person enters into heaven.
7 Similarly on the eleventh day
noticing the dead body seeing
the whole body corrupted thi-
nking that the dead man’s spirit
is completely entered into hea-
ven and celebrated feasts and
all the deviated people started
practicing to observe ceremo-
nial days.
8 O church, does the scripture
not say that blessed are the de-
ad who die in the Lord and the-
y may rest from their labors?
9 Will the rested not rise up? Su-
rely he will rise. Then why is this
to weep at the bed of the one
who is going to rise up? Why to
disturb his repose? As disturbing
his sleep will he not feel bad?
Salvation through Born Again
55
Surely he would feel bad? Why
worrying about resting person?
10 The words of the prophets
are testifying not to lament over
the one who is heading to heav-
en?
11 But someone will say, “How
are the dead raised up? And with
what body do they come? To him
we say – it is sown a natural bo-
dy. It is raised a heavenly body,
12 the body is sown in dust and
raised in glory. So if any saint is
entered into glory stop weeping
and avoid observing ceremonial
days as gentiles do.
13 The gentiles prepare food to
feed the dead one’s spirit. If he
is not fed when alive, will be sati-
sfied his appetite by observing
ceremonial days?
14 Those who pray at the grave
yards for the dead ones peace
do not know God. They do not
know even the parable of the rich
man and Lazarus.
15 If the relatives of the rich man
observe ceremonial days at his
grave yard for his peace, will his
spirit get peace in Hades, cert-
ainly not?
16 If anyone prays for Lazarus,
will that prayer be useful for him,
The Salvation is the Gift of God
certainly not?
17 We write this to you to know
this: remember that intercession
prayers are of no use to the de-
ad one’s spirit. So avoid the cer-
emonial days (1-15 days) and
years of the dead.
18 Regarding this, learn the tea-
ching of the scripture – He who
opens no one shuts, and shuts
and no one opens.
19 II O church! You are like ge-
ntile groups who do not know
what will happen to men after
death.
20 One among you who claims
to be a believer says like heath-
en – my daughter entered into
glory, became one among many
spirits and speaks to me in spirit.
21-23 So I write this to your
understanding: you ask whether
men turn to be devils or angels
after death? But we reveal the
truth in the light of the word of
God – if any man or woman
sees with fear and speaks that
he or she is possessed by evil
spirit or is,
24 stating to other that he or she
is a particular person,
25 he or she who speaks is in
the control of the evil spirit you
