Fall Short Story Contest

e were thrilled at the response to our inaugural short story contest!
There were so many good stories, which made the judges’ work particularly
difficult. In the end, your judges selected one story that really stood out
as the contest winner. The Prison, by Greg Garcia, is not only well constructed,
but it also offers a creative take on a well-worn genre. The pacing is fantastic, as is
the voice. The Prison will keep you on the edge of your seat — and might just
give you nightmares. But we think you’ll see why this story is the winner of our
Fall Short Story Contest.
Because there was a multitude of great entries, the judges selected a runner up
and an honourable mention, which we’ve also included
