Great Northern Hotel’s GNH Bar Launches Creative New Cocktail Menu GNH Bar within The Great Northern Hotel, King’s Cross’ 5-star luxury boutique hotel, has just launched a new cocktail list created by Head Bartender, Harry Nikolaou. As the bar’s first major menu overhaul since the hotel relaunched following an £40million refurbishment in 2013, the selection of 10 pioneering serves showcase Harry and his team’s creative flair and secure the bar’s position as a leader in London’s cocktail scene. Highlighting Harry’s expert palate and skill set, the inspired mixes feature never-before-seen ingredients set to test the boundaries of presentation, flavour and overall drinking experience. Inspired by the Mayan God of medicine, Ahau Chamahez elevates the humble avocado by mixing guacamole and coriander with ElJimador Blanco tequila, fresh chilli, lime juice and olive bitters before topping with soda. Finished with a chilli garnish and tortilla chips on the side, the cocktail pays tribute to the ancient Maya civilization. Commenting on the new menu, Harry Nikolaou says, “This menu has been a long time in the making so I’m very excited to start serving the drinks and seeing our guest’s reactions to the unusual flavours and unique presentation. I hope that they will surprised and delighted and it will put us on the map as a destination for cocktails within King’s Cross and London as a whole.” The GNH Bar’s new cocktail menu is a true celebration of the creativity at play within London’s cocktail scene, confirming the bar’s position as a champion of innovation and creativity. Transforming one of Britain’s best-loved breakfast dishes into an unforgettable beverage, Deep in the Sea offers a unique combination of homemade smoked salmon and dill infused Russian Standard vodka, Dry Vermouth and celery bitters. Set to become a crowd- pleaser and reminiscent of global birthday traditions, Make a Wish comprises a sweet and delicate flavour profile of cake, blending Black Cow Vodka with vanilla, lemon bitters and lemon mousse, served with a candle for guests to blow out. 94 | The Gentleman Magazine “Powered by , Security in Motion”
