To be able to connect your external drives , camera cables and such like ASUS kindly provides the user with a USB Type C hub that has a USB Type C slot for power , a HDMI slot to connect to any external display or projector and a USB 3.0 slot .
At first I was unsure how I would cope with just a single port coming from a laptop with a lot of connections . However , I coped extremely well and realised that I didn ’ t need all those ports and found that one port with the Hub was just fine . If I had to be picky I would of liked to have seen an ethernet port built into the hub provided for when you wanted to be wired into a connection , but that ’ s just me being extremely picky . For those of you who really need a lot of connections ASUS do offer an extended Hub with more ports , SD card reader etc , this also has an Ethernet port built-in which is sold separately .
Now designing a laptop this lightweight , thin and powerful does come with some compromises , connections . The ZenBook 3 only comes with one USB Type C connection that is placed to the right of the device that doubles up as your power slot and a connection point for external drives etc .
Our unit was really put through its paces and we were truly surprised on how well it performed , we liked its ultralightweight design and super stylish looks with gold trim , we liked how it has a built-in fingerprint scanner on the trackpad for added security while on the move , we liked everything about the ASUS ZenBook 3 and have to say we cannot recommend it enough to anyone that wants a lightweight , portable and powerful device that has enough battery life and power to
never limit what you can do in your day .
