L-R: Jessica Springsteen, Nic Roldan, Bruce Springsteen, Athina Onassis, Edwina Tops-Alexander, Patti Scialfa and Jan Tops Flashbulbs went off for the family of some of Europe’s most iconic personalities, as the granddaughters of Aristotle Onassis and Grace Kelly, Athina Onassis and Charlotte Casiraghi, took to the arena. Princess Caroline of Hannover also watched from a ring-side seat, as her daughter competed in the final event of the day. Charlotte said: "I am very proud to have this event in my home town. Monaco was one of the first shows to be part of the Global Tour. Having horses so close to the sea in the middle of the city, in the exact same place as the Formula 1 track, is something very spectacular.” With the competitions over, the riders exchanged their jodhpurs for glamorous cocktail attire and joined VIPs for the de rigueur chilled glass of rosé, before heading to a party on one of the mega-yachts, appropriately named ‘Global’.   Monaco is not the only city to host the championship this summer, as the Tour will head to another eight iconic cities before the year is out, including London, where the world class riders will compete at the Royal Hospital Chelsea on the South Grounds, with the breath-taking backdrop of the heritage buildings designed by Sir Christopher Wren.
