Learning a language is a common
New Year’s resolution, but it’s also
one of the most challenging –
requiring real hard work and plenty
of learning from your mistakes. But if you live on
Lanzarote, it’s going to be much easier.
If you want to learn Spanish, or any other
language, bear these tips in mind:
l KNOW WHY YOU’RE LEARNING
Motivation is vital for language learning, and if you don´t know why you’re doing it, you’re
chances of success will suffer. On Lanzarote, for example, the advantages of learning Spanish
will far outweigh those of learning Japanese, for obvious reasons.
You’ll find that showing off to your friends is generally a bad reason, while wanting to
genuinely communicate with speakers of other languages in their own tongue is a hugely
powerful motivator.
