At its best the balcony or terrace can act as a
private sanctum where you can worship the sun
and enjoy solitude and intimacy; these places can
also be thrown open during parties or gatherings to
provide an extension of your living and dining area –
and one which guests will naturally gravitate to.
Small balconies and terraces can be delightful,
inviting places, and it doesn’t take too much money
or effort to make yours into the place you’ve always
