Did you ever keep journals or diaries? Have you accidentally come across them years later, tucked in a remote corner in your closet or in your bed boxes and wondered how silly or special you were in them? Did you ever sneak a peek at someone else's journal? Steal it even? Did it give you a different perspective and leave you surprised, experiencing something unknown? Did it re-ignite a part of that dimly remembered memory, re?ecting the very journey of life? The journey of life is unpredictable for most of us. It is ?lled with impressions left upon one; some from sights, some from experiences, some from words. The Gaysi Zine aims to be one such journal that explores these deep recesses through the powerful words of our collective impressions. Whilst, there has been a remarkable shift of power and visibility in the queer movement in India, we believe that queer literature is still in its developing stages. The Gaysi Zine is our baby step towards re-shaping the landscape of queer literature in our country to create a little history of our own. Little causes can have big effects – And we want to be a cause in a phenomenon that yields big effects. We aim to take this zine to far off places to reach a wider audience, for we believe that this is the only way we can create an archival of our experiences. Toni Morrison had once said, "If there is a book you want to read and it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it." It is this thought that inspired us to work
