ANDREW M
PISANU’S
album revolves
around gay love touching on the
perils of open
relationships,
prostitution, HIV,
affairs with married
men, amongst other themes. The Essex born Londoner knows who
he is, what he wants to say and how he wants to say it - with a voice
that is as rich and full as it is intense and pained, the music of
Andrew M Pisanu is a well kept secret, but frankly, too good to be
kept hidden for much longer. ∎

Geri Half
Of Me is heading for the rock and
roll hall of shame, the problem is
we love it, every bad rhyme just
makes us love you more Halliwell
damn you. Britney must have
read our minds with her ditty,
Work Bitch. 2013 has been about
work and bitches, in equal
measures. We salute you Spears.
Kitty Brucknell, yes she of
XFactor bat sh*t craziness,
showcased a tune on YouTube this
year called Chains - amazeballs girl has pipes. Eat Sleep Rave
Repeat, it’s like Fatboy Slim and
Riva Starr saw our lives and put
it in a song. Tara McDonald she
of My My My fame returns to the
airways with Shooting Star, it’s
got a chorus that will repeat and
repeat on you, like a takeout burger
but much, much nicer - and it’s got
some French in it, bit like Kylie
back in the day. James Blunt
is back, with Bonfire Heart.
Enuff said. It’s all about The
Vamps, mainly because of the
name, because we think of
ourselves as a little (just a
little) Vampish, they’ve got a
song called Can We Dance,
sure babes, let us put
down our G&T and
we’ll be right there.
Rizzle Kicks Skip To
The Good Bit is where
it’s at today - at 6:12pm,
we may feel differently
tomorrow. We’re still
tweaking, sorry twerking to
Miley’s Wrecking Ball.
Who are we to judge?
We’ve been dancing like
that since ’99. ∎
