A RESOLUTION
TO SMILE ABOUT

If you are anything like me, all of the resolutions you made for the year 2015 have long
been forgotten, as our busy lives took precedence over eating well and exercising more.
As we celebrate this new year, I propose we take a different approach. Instead of resolutions
for us, let’s focus on our children and instilling healthy habits for them. As parents, we
want the best for our children. We want them to grow up happy and healthy, and dental
care plays an important role in all of that.
There are so many ways we can instill good oral health with our children. First figure out
the approach that will work best for your family: starting small and choosing one or two
areas to improve, or diving right in making your children’s dental health a main priority
for 2016.
As a pediatric dentist and a parent, I’d like to offer the following tips for encouraging your
children on the path to better dental health:
