National Trails Day
June 3
Trails need love too! If you enjoy
hiking and your public lands, this
is the day to show how much you care.
Join Ranger Eric Creter for a day of trail
work. You work hard, get dirty and have
fun while doing it. Work can be strenuous.
Sturdy boots/shoes, work gloves and

Barnstormers Tour Great American Backyard Campout
June 10
This self-guided tour calls attention to
barns and their importance to Frederick's
agricultural heritage. It's a rare opportunity
to observe some of Frederick's most scenic
farms. Trained docents greet visitors at
each barn. June 24–25
It's Camping 101! Perfect for the first time
camping family. Learn to start a campfire,
pitch a tent, and cook a classic meal
under the guidance of Park Rangers and
volunteers. Campers must bring their own
equipment. Space is limited. Pre-register by
