MEET THE TEAM FOX
BOSTON MARATHONERS
For the first time in 10 years, Team Fox secured five highly coveted Boston Marathon
charity bibs. Not only did the runners have to train to run 26.2 miles, they had
to fundraise a minimum of $15,000 on behalf of The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
For this motivated group, the cause is personal and the commitment to making
a difference in the lives of people with Parkinson’s disease wasn’t deterred by
Heartbreak Hill or donations to collect.
Bill Bucklew
“I have taken pilot lessons, jumped off the highest
bungee platform in the world, climbed mountains,
run with the bulls, completed a full Ironman and
countless marathons, but I have never run Boston. I
have early-onset Parkinson’s disease and can’t really
run anymore, but the Boston Marathon has always
been a dream of mine. I trained harder for this race
than I have for anything else.”
Will Clansky
“For people who have a loved one with Parkinson’s,
Team Fox is both a support community and a way to
collectively do something to support those people.
When I was going through my goals for the year,
one was to do something big to make my father
proud. Running the Boston Marathon was the perfect
opportunity. It’s a way to show him and all the people
out there with Parkinson’s that I’m there for them.”
