Hi everyone! My name is Mr Goode and I am very excited to be moving to Malta to teach at Verdala. For the past few years I have been living and teaching on two islands in China and Southern Thailand, so this will be my third island school. I am originally from the UK (where I trained as a teacher and taught for a few years) but I have Mediterranean blood on my mum's side, so I think Malta's balmy climate will suit me very well. I will be joining Verdala as an Elementary Teacher, and I love teaching children and getting involved in every aspect of school life. In my private life I am a musician and singer, and my main love is finding obscure, lost musical gems and re-creating them for the stage. Music is a powerful visual and oral history and I feel it is my duty to bring back these forgotten musical styles. I also like to paint, hike, cook, exercise, read and travel around as a backpacker. I am honoured to come and work at Verdala and I am looking forward to meeting new students, parents and teachers from all over our beautiful planet.

For as long as I can remember, I always wanted to be a Maths teacher. Maths was and will always be my first love. With a heightened interest in learning differences, I furthered my reading in special and inclusive education. I soon found myself completely compelled towards understanding how and why children learn, and it was through this that I furthered my training in Educational Psychology. Undoubtedly, Psychology grew to resonate most strongly with me. I spent some time studying and teaching in Bristol before I returned back to Malta to teach IB Maths and Psychology. I can safely say that my passion for IB learning is completely integrated into how I think, behave, and ultimately how I teach. Seven years later I find myself writing a biography for yet another new and exciting chapter, with great pleasure I look forward to this wonderful journey ahead!

Hello!

My name is VerĂ³nica and I am originally from Madrid, Spain, but I have lived in UK, Germany, Thailand and recently in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. My adventure addiction has taken me cycling from Russia to Spain, scuba diving in stunning sites of Southeast Asia, snowboarding in Central Asia, hiking to different high peaks and swimming in open waters around Spain and Thailand. Good coffee, food and concerts are also things that I enjoy with friends. I am so excited to be a PE teacher next academic year at VIS and share the benefits of physical activity with everyone. I am really looking forward to enjoying the beauty of Malta and meeting Verdala community!
