SPORTS HIGHLIGHTS
The annual Swim Gala was once again organized before the mid-term break bringing to an end the first half term of the 2019/2020 scholastic year and the end of the swimming unit for our students.
Grade 5’s were invited to participate and they did a really good job at racing and motivating each other. The races took place in the 25m pool in order to give all students an opportunity to participate safely.
To give everyone the opportunity to swim, the races were organized as follows:
individual freestyle races
assisted freestyle or breaststroke
group relays
fun relay with lilo or ring
The lilo and ring relay races are fun to watch but a struggle if you’re the one kicking! Nevertheless, all the students went all out for their houses.
Turn out for the event was high and the sun shone on the day. The PE Department would like to thank all the teachers that have helped in making this event a very successful one and we hope to make it better each year.
This year’s Swimming Gala winners were 1st-Wind, 2nd-Fire, 3rd-Water and 4th-Earth.
