IMYC Entry Point Highlights- History
Grade 6 took part in a research project in History as apart of their 'Structures' Big Idea.
The student's investigated a structure of their choice. Choices included the -
Roman household, The Coliseum, The Arch of Titus, The Roman Army, The Roman Navy and Maison Caree. The attached images show one group who explored life in a typical Roman household, looking at the family structure, how slaves were treated, what the diet of the Roman's consisted of and the kinds of games children played.
The other group researched the army and made models of defensive structures including the famous tortoise formation which soldiers used and a typical Roman watchtower which was used to help keep the borders of the empire safe.
