My role in this company is managing all the funds we need, finding our profit and making sure we fit our budget. I will need to keep track of all our payments made in need to supply for the company.

My main role is to ensure smooth operation between all members and all sectors of our company. I am responsible for giving strategic guidance and directing the company to make sure the company achieves its final visions, missions and objectives. I strive to achieve sufficient communication between the team members to maximise efficiency and to get the best possible results.

To decide what to sell, we had a lot of meetings, calls and discussions ,as it needed to be time efficient and it had to be a good idea. After hours of discussing and switching ideas from travel apps to yaught apps, we finally concluded on the idea of a card game about Maltese history. We had 2 main ideas and started building a business plan, this Business Plan was presented to a panel of judges from HSBC and Deloitte. And we have been short listed for The Best Business Plan Competition! Finals will be announced in the month of May.

The entire JAYE experience is not only to teach you the nuances of running a business , it is also a very big competition but there was a separate competition for the business plan. One day, somewhere in December, all the groups were invited to give a sales pitch and explain why their product should be bought. All the groups gave normal talks and we created a little theatre piece and performed it. It was strange but it stood out, which is exactly what we wanted. Now it was time to announce the top 4 of the business plan competition where later in may the winner would be named. We didn’t think anything of it as we had never written a plan before and the other groups seemed a lot more professional than us. However, they started calling them in no specific order and we were the first ones they called! We were so excited and this really gave us a good feeling about our company. We were ready to succeed.

Now, our cards ready for sale. We customised a unique packaging and created the cards all by ourselves. Our game is something you can play with your friends, compete and win! You pick up your card and choose a category (for example age) see who has got the highest number and win the card if yours is the highest.
