Since graduating from Verdala International School in 2007, Josh has made a name for himself as one of the leading brands in digital marketing.
Thanking the IB Programme for making it very clear what subjects Josh was good at (Computer Science and Business), and which he most certainly was not (Science) the natural progression was to study a topic he excelled in at scored a 7 in his IB, Business Management – which he studied at The University of Manchester. Josh fell in love with Manchester and continued his studies with a Masters Degree in Information Systems and Business Management (mainly so he didn’t have to leave his university life yet.) One word of advice is to get really involved in University life and student societies.
Josh became the president of the largest student society in the UK – SKUM, the University of Manchester Ski and Snowboard club. Which was pretty much like running business in itself, taking 600 students on a ski holiday to the alps.
Following his masters degree, where he submitted a list of recommendations to his University in his thesis on how to use social media to communicate more efficiently and effectively, Josh was offered a job by the university itself to carry out these recommendations.
Josh has worked in social media and digital marketing since its inception and has developed an inspiring approach to digital marketing through consulting, managing and executing these digital strategies with a wide and truly international range of clients.
His passion for marketing and his long-standing experience in the field inspired him to open Growth Gurus, an award-winning digital marketing agency based in Malta.
In just 3 years, Josh has spearheaded the agency to national acclaim, picking up numerous awards in recognition of the exceptional work him and his team have done for their impressive list of clients.
