G10 Cricket
This year the G10’s during their cricket unit, had the chance to have some of their lessons led by two of Malta’s Cricket Coaches and International Players Niraj and Andy. They went into detail to explain the fundamentals and rules of the game and the students even had a go at using the actual game equipment. Most of the students managed to get the tricky bowling skill and also hit the ball during game practice. Overall it was a very enjoyable unit. Special Thanks to the Malta Cricket Association for providing the coaches as this also helped in providing the teachers with more in depth knowledge of this wonderful game.
MS and HS Girls Football
Friendlies’ Tournament at St. Martin’s College promoting and celebrating girls’ football. We had 3 teams made up of a mix of G9’s, 8’s and 7’s
Grade 9: Rana, Molly, Maria
Grade 8: Malak, Aisha, Rana, Lara, Sophia, Federica, Filippa, Maya
Grade 7: Jumana, Yuki, Helena, Berenice, Sofie, Fien
All girls showed great football skills, excellent team spirit and sportsmanship throughout all the games. We had a wonderful morning watching the girls playing, having fun and scoring a few goals too!
We would like to thank all these girls for their enthusiasm and motivation and we encourage them to keep playing as the future is bright in football for all of them.
