Our U16 boys recently participated in a football tournament with San Anton, St Augustine and Stella Maris who all qualified last November. We played 3 games, won 2, drew 1 and finished joint top of the group. Unfortunately, San Anton had scored more goals than us so they came first and us second. The boys played amazingly and credit to them for finishing 2nd from 18 schools that started.
Grade 6 and 7 Boys football team took part in an Interschools tournament at De La Salle College in Vittoriosa organized by the MSSF. Boys representing the school were James Sheasby in goals, Mack Wrigley, Akram Ashur, Max Antipov, Adam Nordstrom, and Oliver Grech. On a very wet day, 16 schools turned up for the tournament and they were divided in two groups of 5 with one group of 6. Although hesitant at the beginning that we would manage to play due to the bad weather, when it finally stopped it turned out to be a very good tournament. Boys did very well in all their games considering they won 2, drew 1 and lost 2. All boys were in good spirits and Mr. O'Connor kept motivating them till the last minute. Well done to all the Boys and to Mr. O'Connor and Ms. Ward for taking care of the team and making sure the school doesn't miss out on these opportunities!
