News Bill Curry & Your Submissions Bill Curry Bill retires this year after over 25 years of faithful service to Grey. This seems like an appropriate point in the magazine to remember and pay tribute to a Grey College institution, Bill Curry, our night-porter from the early 90’s until his retirement at the end of March. Many generations of students will share fond memories of meeting Bill on their way back from nights out, as well as his distinctive call of “Keep the noise down!” Comments received from alumni indicate the volume of people’s lives that he touched, and how much his presence was noted, and gratefully received by students when needed. College staff were delighted to host an informal retirement part in early April for Bill, when a small presentation was made. The College is particularly pleased that the JCR awarded him Honorary Life Membership at the President’s Guest Night held in February of this year.
