and post-doctoral students.
It has been a wonderful
experience.
Going forward, the mandate of the new IFID Centre will
shift from proactively creating, writing, and disseminating
original research to a more informal granting agency that
supports existing organizations and research activities. To
that end, we stopped raising new funds in 2016 and instead
plan to slowly draw down our existing endowment surplus
to support activities similar to ones we hosted at the Fields
Institute for many years.
