Institute is where mathematicians and mathematics users
come together to brainstorm, learn, and uncover everything
mathematics has to offer.
This book is a record of many discrete events, both
scientific and non-scientific. It is a record of people who
passed through the Fields Institute, some briefly, and others,
mathematicians for life, who forged its scientific programs, and
through them, the identity of the Institute itself.
If you have been involved with the Institute in any way
over the last twenty-five years, I hope that these stories bring
