push ups . Trail / beach runs , surfing and killer ab routines ! Cargo net climbing , daily handstand practice , pilates and stretching , jumping and skipping workouts and then on Sunday I rest because its , well , Beer day !
This year I want to finish in the top ten in the Impi Elite challenge as this is really an epically ELITE challenge !
Andre : I consider myself extremely lucky to be working as a full-time trainer , as this allows me to spend a lot of time training with my clients . Simone and I will often jump into a class with our clients – so fun , with the added advantage that we all get to motivate each other .
I also like to spend time on the big compound movements : pull-ups , chin-ups , push-up variations , handstands , headstands . And then of course , no workout week is complete without surfing , swimming and Yoga !
My personal goals for 2017 are a completely solid push-press handstand with perfect alignment by the end of June , and the Tiger Bend by the end of the year . And surviving all the crazy events Simone and I will be attempting this year .
Feral : Whoa I need to lie down just listening to that . Beer ! Beer ! I need a … arrgh ! * sip * Ok How do you handle reluctant clients in your workout sessions ?
Andre : That is such a great question ! Ever been to a gym , and seen the same old client with the same old trainer , year in , year out ? The trainer looks the same . And so does the client !
Horrible ! Plain horrible ! I can ’ t even begin to imagine how the trainer or the client deals with the boredom .
So , how to prevent it ? This is what we came up with :

We train exclusively in small groups . Groups are great for two reasons : one , people have more fun ! And two , people feel accountable . Did I also mention it is more fun ?
Train with a purpose ! The motivation that comes from working on something SPECIFIC is extremely motivating – ask any surfer what it feels like to finally perform that move they ’ ve been working on ,
