The charity they are
supporting this year is The
Royal British Legion. Lorraine
told me: “Debbie Westlake
from the Legion has been
a great help in providing
promotional support. Once
in Llandudno they will go onto
the promenade and beach
where they will meet the Mayor
of Llandudno Francis Davies.
On their return journey, they
will cross the Britannia and
Menai bridges, then onto
Caernarvon before arriving at
the Llanberis Slate Mines.
And if you thought these
two didn’t have enough to do,
David and Lorraine are two of
the organisers for the Sheep
Dog trials at Harden Moss, a
show renowned across the
country and one of the major
shows in the agricultural
calendar. It also plays host to
one of the oldest fell races in
the country and a tractor run
on the Sunday.
To end the year David and
Lorraine are finding time to get
married. A quiet affair? Not
exactly - 220 guests along with
tractors, tepees and a “right
good Yorkshire do.!” Then
off to Norfolk and the South
Coast in their motor home for
a spot of very well-deserved
peace and R and R. We wish
them all the very best in their
endeavours.
