and she was 14 years old having given 11

‘Our milk goes to ARLA on a Morrisons
contract. Our current price is just over
27ppl, which is far better than three years
ago when the price slumped for all dairy
farmers and when we were down to 18ppl.
We reached 31ppl last year but it has gone
back since then. That 4ppl makes a lot of
difference. We’ve been able to put in a new
bulk milk tank, buy a new tractor, put up the
new farm building and put in the new silage
clamp. You wouldn’t have thought we could
do that a few years ago, but we watch all
our inputs and we cut our cloth according-
