the 6th YAMS show, how
quickly time flies.
YAMS has grown very quickly since the

first show in 2014. Facilities have been
improved, more parking made available
including Park and ride and better on-site
traffic management. The stand area has
increased with the addition of the new
EBOR HALL for inside stands. Ripon Farm
Services moved to a much larger area next
to Murton Lane this worked very well and
helped ease congested areas, spreading the
crowd over a lot larger area. The area out-
side the indoor stands was also utilised well
this year with impressive displays from the
mighty ARMATRAC to Central Platform Lifts
who won best outdoor stand for utilising
their area to the max with an eye-catching
display.
This year there were a number of pop-
ular seminars held in the Ebor Ring next
to the main hall the focus was on that hot
topic BREXIT – these were all very well
attended with a number of high-profile
speakers giving both industry views and
the view from the financial perspective.
The weather can be very hit and miss
in February as we know from previous
years. On set up day there were some
concerned faces about as the rain came
down and started to turn the ground,
however overnight things faired up and
