A RECORD number of people passed through the gate of this year ’ s Midlands Machinery Show , with the widest selection of products and advances in agricultural technology on display to date .

VISITORS TO NEWARK Showground were given access to the latest agricultural technology as well the opportunity to attend specialist seminars on topics as varied as water management and soil biology , in addition to live farm handling experiences .
Jake Clover , a young farmer , commented : “ I really enjoyed the farm handling ; the ArmaTrac tractor was better than I expected . I ’ ve been farming all my life – it ’ s in the family . The show has been a great experience .”
Organised by Newark and Nottinghamshire Agricultural Society , The Midlands Machinery Show is in its third year and more than 250 companies had stands at the two-day event .
