TOWNS AND VILLAGES IN MESSENIA
PRODUCTS OF MESSENIA by Joanna
Messenia has a lot of towns and villages. Some of these
towns are Filiatra, Messini, Gargaliani, Kyparissia, Chora,
Pylos, Koroni, Kopanaki, Vlachopoulo, Stoupa, Kardamili

Messenia has a lot of products. Some of them are
figs, raisins, oranges, wine and of course the
famous olive oil and olives.
Avia and Akroyiali are coastal areas on the outskirts of
Kalamata and Kitries is a picturesque coastal village with
turquoise waters.
EVENTS – FESTIVALS – FAIRS by Costas, Angelo
and Socrates
Agios Andreas is a little port with endless enchanting
beaches. It is a seaside resort where you can visit the
remains of the Temple of Apollo Korythio or Korynthou.
From Agios Andreas you can visit another village, Chrani.
Verga is a village consisting of the beach, Ano and Kato
Verga. Kardamyli is a characteristic village of Mani with the
remains of an ancient Acropolis and the fortress of
Mourtzinos and the tombs of Dioscuri. In Kardamili you can
visit the gorge of the river Vyros and enjoy its wild beauty,
the island Merope, the village Proastio, Zarnata castle and
Stavropigio, a village with traditional stone houses.
