Chapter Sister Joins Women's

Global Connection

WGC is beyond excited to introduce new staff member Claudia Guzman Garcia, who really isn’t new here at all. She has been a WGC volunteer since 2012 and now will serve as Associate Director of Community Engagement and Economic Development.

Claudia recently received her PhD in Leadership Studies from Our Lady of the Lake University. She’s been a WGC Advisory Chair for the Girls Leadership/Girls Global Summit Program and also worked as a WGC grant writer last year.

She’s also worked in development with Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas and on grant administration for the UTSA Vice President for Research.

Please help us welcome Claudia!

VP of Alumnae Affairs

Angelic Garay

I was always in awe of National Leadership because they are some pretty awesome sisters. I ended up choosing Alumnae Division because MelRey, the ACDO at the time, pointed at me in a crowd during National Conference NAA meeting back in 2012 and said I should be an ARC. I know she did not specifically mean me, but I felt inspired to apply regardless.
