The Zeta Penguins have been working hard to help our community and the other communities around us. We take pride in our service and we always try to make sure to visit our highway and our park at least once a month to clean up and help keep our environment and home clean.

One of the most life changing experiences that many of us have ever experienced was assisting with Hurricane Harvey victims. We went out into the city of Houston to help sisters and other people who were affected by Hurricane Harvey. Just the way their face lit up was something that we will never forget. We also got together and donated any clothes, shoes, and supplies that we could give, and we sent it to Houston where we know people were in need of assistance. It is always an amazing sight to see how so many people pull together to help one another, especially in times of need.

On August 23rd, we volunteered in SHSU’s annual Casino Night. It was a great experience to see all the sisters’ interacting with many different students. At the end of night, sisters learned how to play Blackjack, Poker, and Roulette!

On September 8th, we collaborated with the Gentleman of Lambda Theta Phi to host a park clean up/ rush event. Activities consisted of eating pizza, speed dating as an ice breaker, cleaning up the park, and “capture the flag”. We are also excited to announce that the park officers have seen how hard we have been working that they are going to get us another sign for our amazing park!
