It really is a matter of opinion as to the success of a full band sound compared to the mostly acoustic style show that the Cowboy Festival typically is, depending on what you were looking for. Both bands moved over to local watering hole, Moonshiners to play rollicking sets later on their respective nights.

Local radio station 88.1 The One was conspicuous by their absence. Oversight or design, Edmonton/Camrose based CFCW was on site all weekend. Concession, be it food or retail were sparse and though organizers said that there was a multitude of social media, the weekend was a tough go. Prices for the event have not gone up since 2010, still there

were comments about he cost of things. Of course, the Alberta economy and a whole host of other weekend events affected this festival, just outside of Edmonton.

After a quarter century, where does the Stony Plain Cowboy Festival go next year and the next 25?
