What was the inspiration behind some of these collections?

I wanted to show something that demonstrates what I am capable of doing.  I wanted to create a collection which people feel good wearing, feeling the quality along with the tight construction and fit.

The people supporting me as I created this collection and as it was presented was very important to me. I enjoyed working with the models who helped bring this collection to life.

My inspiration first of all (is) my family. I grew up in the fashion industry and saw my late mother do everything - sewing, weaving and embroidery. So I decided to follow in her footsteps, and carry on the legacy of the family.

Presenting my first collection was a very surreal moment, it was nerve racking and exciting at the same time. But what really made it memorable was the fact that I met a lot of people in the industry that evening, from models to bloggers, brand ambassadors, and local designers.

How did it feel to present your first collection in the show?

It felt wonderful to present my collection and see it all come together. I had such positive feedback, it was great to hear patrons thoughts on my creations, as well as the models comments on how it felt to wear them.
