artist, and entrepreneur are things you can say about what Con Boland does but that isn't just who he is. I have never met someone like Con. He is a one of a kind man, and I mean that in the best way possible. But how do you define someone that only has the best interests of others in mind? Though he has achieved great successes (well deserved great successes) he is consistently contributing to multiple charities and organizations around the city. Before I go into anything more, lets go back to how he became a photographer first!
Con grew up in Amsterdam. Graduated in his studies of Photography at Nederlandse Fotovakschool DenHaag. However, photography was not his first love. It was electronics and science. He loved building radios and tube amps.
It was when he started attending the youth clubs in Holland that he discovered the 'magic' of photography.
"One day I stumbled upon some people coming out of a dark room. I couldn't figure out why people were coming out of a room with no lights! So I had to investigate.
When I walked in, I saw someone pulling a piece of paper out of some water, and a face appeared onto it. I thought it was absolute magic. I have never seen anything like that before. After that, I had to do it... I was 14 then. I got into classes and have moved forward with it ever since."
By the time he was 17, he had won both national and international awards.

If you have ever had the pleasure of working with Con, you will see, even feel the incredible energy that eminates from him and his work. He works with every piece of art from start to finish. That includes the editing, the printing, the framing... The process is an art in itself!
Photography isn't Cons only talent though. He is also an incredible musician. His piano skills are among some of the best I have ever had the opportunity to witness.
So what does a multi-talented, successful man like himself do with his free time? Socialize, host Air B'n'B rooms and parties, and of course help out his community and local charities such as Little Warriors, S.I.R.E.N.S., youth soccer clubs and many many more.

All in all, what can we say? Philanthropist yes, but that doesn't fully hit the mark. How about Edmontons very own Renaissance Man!
