KN: Yes! I played basketball from a young age and have always enjoyed watching sports on TV. I love watching hockey, baseball, and basketball the most. Yes, I am 100% an Oilers fan.

WD: In the world of fitness, is there someone you idolize?

KN: I don’t think there’s anyone that I particularly “idolize” in the fitness world, however, there’s a few people that I could not have made it to this point without.

Andrew Obrecht, Warren Matzelle, and Grady Topak, the owners of YEG/YYC studios, have been continuously instrumental in this journey as a motivator. Nathan Lehman, a fellow motivator at YEG Cycle, is someone else that continues to inspire and push me. He is one of my best friends, and I wouldn’t be where I am without him.

WD: What has been the most memorable part of your Yeg-Cycle journey so far?

KN: The feedback from the Bikergang. I love watching people grow stronger. I love hearing people’s success stories. I love it when people acknowledge their own progress and growth. The community at YEG Cycle is so strong and so inspiring. Being a part of that community has definitely been the most memorable.

WD: Unfortunately we have to cut the interview short, but before we go, if you had a message you would like to send out into the world, what would it be?

KN: Be kind to yourself. I’m the first person to assume the worst, compare myself to others, or to let negative comments consume me. But if I could tell the world anything, it’s just to be kind to yourselves.
