On February 23, people across Canada will be participating in the Coldest Night of the Year, a winter walk in support of ending homelessness – and you can be a part of it!

The Coldest Night of the Year is a super-fun, family-friendly walking fundraiser that raises money for organizations that serve the hungry, homeless and hurting in over 100 communities across Canada. You can register as an individual, or create a team of friends, family, coworkers or members from your church group, and walk to support the work of The Mustard Seed in your city.

Winter in Alberta can be brutal. By walking 2, 5, or 10 km in the cold, we get a small glimpse into the struggles that people who are living on the streets have to face every day.

Funds raised at Coldest Night of the Year 2019, will support The Neighbour Centre in the Old Strathcona/Ritchie neighbourhood. Since it's new renovation, TNC has offered greater services including a full kitchen, laundry, showers, nursing office and more to those experiencing poverty in south Edmonton. The Neighbour Centre is the only adult drop-in south of the river.
