Hello again everyone and welcome to Quintessential Tarot’s reading of the month for January 2018! Here’s hoping all of you lovely people survived the retrograde of mercury during December and are now feeling a much smoother energy since it went direct on the 23rd. Moving into the new year, I personally feel very excited to be leaving 2017 behind us and I look forward to the brand new energy that’s about to enter with the turn of the new year. Speaking of new energy, our question this month is from Lisa who wants to know about the future of her new romantic relationship. Let’s take a look at what the cards had to say about this connection!

The first card we see representing the energy that’s passing is the card of Judgment. This is usually a card that cHello and welcome to Quintessential Tarot’s reading of the month for February 2018!

I had Tyler email me with a question in regards to his career. Tyler asked if he should stay in his current position or look for work elsewhere. The cards had some good advice so let’s take a look.

Sitting in the past position we see The Emperor. He stands for law and order, structure and stability. He is a very positive influence in regards to finances if planning is involved. The Emperor is organized and decisive. He brings commitment and can sometimes represent marriage in more traditional relationships. He encourages you to be realistic with yourself and your current situation.

In the present position we see the Eight of Cups. I usually see this card appear after there has been a disappointment especially regarding love. This is a card of rebalancing but to do that one must look deep inside at what motivates an occasional tendency to be negative or somewhat pessimistic. There may be a part of you that is resisting healing, the eight of Cups is appearing to let you know you can come to terms with things. Emotionally you are able to rebalance and move forward more positively.

Next is the card of unexpected events, we’re seeing the Ten of Cups. This is a card that can represent family and community. This is very much a sign of love and support coming at you from all directions. There is the need to trust in your own intuition and gut feelings, so be sure to listen to your inner voice for the answers. There is a course of action here that will harmonize what you want most with what is currently possible, and this is where we see healing begin.

The final outcome position is represented by The Fool. He encourages you to let go of preconceived ideas and expected outcomes. Being open to change is what will get you moving forward again. A fresh start in a new direction is right around the corner. Lighten up a bit and allow yourself to be more spontaneous. The Fool is happy in any situation he is given. Instead of trying to control things, be open to receiving direction from the universe. Release disappointment and expectation and return your attention to events in the present moment, secure in the knowledge that change is indeed on it’s way!
