Last but not least was the headliner Lars Callieou (that's Cal-
ee-oh). He is a prominent comedy figure in Edmonton. Even
though he is from here, he travels the world making people
laugh, so it is a treat to see one of his shows. Witty, clever and
in tune with the audience, this award winning comedian clearly
loves what he does but also makes the audience love it too.
"The Pearl Showroom was amazing! Pictures do not do it justice.
It was impressive the moment I saw it and I enjoyed having the
show there. The room was full and the audience seemed to have
a great time."
The 2 year wait was worth it. The Pearl Showroom complimented that event perfectly. All the way from the wining and dining of the VIP Social pre-show to the entertainment of the evening, the night was well hosted and executed. I am looking forward to more shows put on by these entertainers as well as events taking place at the new, Pearl Showroom.

Norm Shaw
First up was Norm Shaw. He not only runs Hear By Request, he is
also a comedian. He is a family man that brings out the funny in his
life as a parent and entrepreneur and he does it well. His hilarious
stories will have you buckled.
'I think the Pearl Showroom is absolutely fabulous in all aspects. The
layout, decor, lighting and technology all combine for an amazing
guest experience that is just as amazing from an entertainer’s
perspective as well. From the Green room, to the stage and sound.
The night was a beautiful experience for me. Performing with two
comedians that started around the same time as I did in comedy
(2012), and having your best friend and radio co-host, Lars Callieou
headlining, I don’t think we could have asked for a better line up.
Having the room sold out (maybe 4 seats left), the audience was
amazing, they were very warm to all the comedians and seemed to
thoroughly enjoy the show as well.
If I was a planner, I don’t think I could have planned it any better.'
Alex Fortin
Following him was Alex Fortin. Crazy ex-girlfriends, living with his
parents, a love for Indian food, awkward and quirky... Alex brings an
amusing perspective to the audience that paints a hilarious
caricature of himself while on stage.
'The show room was unreal. I saw pictures of the room before I
showed up, and it looked great in those, but in person it's
unbelievable. Everything from the pearl white booths and tables to
the giant LED back drop, is clean, fresh, modern and fun. As far as the
how the night went I don't think we could have asked for a better
show. I got to work with 3 friends and the crowd was a group that was
ready and willing to laugh. Most of the audience were staff from
different events companies, so obviously a group that loves to social
and be part of an event and it definitely felt that way. The year is still
young but that show, so far, is the one to beat for 2018.'
