RR: Tell me a bit about "Ugly Side".  What is the story behind the video?

JR: Ugly side is a general look at the fact that everyone has a certain capacity for sometimes making toxic choices and the only way to really grow beyond certain things is to face them head on, no matter how ugly or in some cases terrifying we may feel we seem. There is a beauty in everything we are able to learn from and the video kind of encompasses that in a metaphorical sense with the beautiful demoness figure representing internal self struggle with darkness.

RR: How long did it take to shoot the video?

JR: It took roughly two eight hour days for the performance shots, and a third session of a few hours to film the forest part. We kind of did it over the span of the summer. It was all done by our awesome friend Brad Thomson of Brad Thomson visuals. He is really great to work with, we also did our first video for our song Rogue Down with him. Great results and a fun time.

RR: What does the ideal live show look like for your band?  Is the venue important?

JR: The ideal live show is pretty much just any show with a good and happy crowd. That always makes everything worth it and we have the most fun when we have memorable nights with new and old friends. The energy of shows like that is an undisputed favorite among the band and a shared reason why we all want to put the time and energy we do into this.
