"Apex" is the latest and greatest album, with all lyrics written by Brittany. The record (yes there is vinyl!) is following the story of a character that is cursed with eternal life, the "Immortal". He must find the Matriarch's 4 sons and bring them to her to be sacrificed so that she too can be immortal. I won't give away the ending, I will leave you to listen to the album for yourself.
For this particular show, I was impressed by the whole band's showmanship. It was so hot in the Starlite Room that I had sweat trickling down my back all night. I know it is twice as hot on stage under all those lights. The whole band gave everything they had up there. The energy was awesome!
There was some tried and true songs and some new songs. The crowd at UTA shows are always diverse from us old farts right down to the wee bairns of the metal scene with a common love for the band and the genre. An awesome performance. Catch them if you can the next time they are in town!
