It is great to be back in Odessa. After a 10-year absence serving as Director of Economic Development for Andrews, Texas it is incredible for me to see the positive changes that have taken place in my hometown! I attended Odessa College and graduated from UT Permian Basin in 1991 with an undergraduate degree and again in 2006 with a Master of Public Administration degree. I fully believe that having the opportunity to obtain my higher education close to home has had a huge impact on my success. My family and I are native Odessans and are excited to be back home. I fully believe that Odessa is the Right Place in Texas to live, work and do business and your Odessa Chamber of Commerce will be on the job full-time to ensure that it is.
The Economic Development Department of the Chamber along with the Odessa Development Corporation will focus on helping local businesses expand and grow our economy from within. We will also have a very strong focus on outside investment and job creation. All of this will be done by providing the incentives that make Odessa the clear choice for their facilities. Teamwork and cooperation from every taxing entity and local organization is a key to being successful. We are looking forward to working closely with everyone to make Odessa even better.
