The Eagle Volume 1, Issue 4 | Page 13

Tell me your story. Tell me the truth

Don't be afraid, Im here to rescue you

Give me your time , and I'll give you mine

Just enough time to open up your mind

Everything I went through, I doubt you understand

The troubles in my life that I had to see

All the screams and the fights, the pain and the sights

You'll never break me

Down on the earth, everyday people die

Sacrifice their lives for their freedom in mind

Fighting for their country, war after war

Humans exist but humanity don't

Mothers and children wait upon death

Starving themselves at the expense of the rich

10 thousand homeless with no house to give

A corrupted government stands on the throne

Their rule we follow

We lost our soul

Teens have a cloud called depression

Popping prescription pills in the kitchen saying they're medicine

Is this what us humans have come to now

Or is it just fiction?
