Pastels and soft shades make an entrance but were secondary to shades of lavender during fashion week. We are vowed to see updates to trends from previous seasons but with BOLD and non-simplistic elements such as ruffles and fringes. Pack up your sweaters and shift those jackets back to the corner. It’s time to bring those transitional pieces forward and update your wardrobe for spring. 2018 The Pantone Color Institute, which is a color consulting company well known in the fashion world, picks a color of the year following New York Fashion week. This color reflects the attitude of the trends seen on the runways. This year’s color was “ultra violet”. Interestingly enough, when looking at the top ten color palettes for spring, four were hues of purple. The other colors include shades of yellow, reds and greens. I hope you took notes during Justin Timberlake’s Super Bowl performance!
