specific initiative,”’ said President, David Moyer,
“This is a really unique platform that we have to
create a better community through our events.
To our guests it is a fun party unlike any other.
To the charity, it is a significant donation. To the
venue, it’s a chance to garner new demographics
and audience to help their business that day
and in the future. To our sponsors, a way to help
advertise their brand and also be charitable. It is
truly a rare situation where we can help so many
people at once from a fun event”.
The phrase “Party for a Purpose” defines the 13
Ugly Men, and it has been the great constant
over the years. Every party is typically theme
driven, at elegant locations, and attract a large
audience. “Our guests love to dress up to the
9’s, and we love to make sure our party lives up
to the hype” said Event Coordinator, Matt Loyd,
“We rented a DeLorean, in a roller skating venue,
with artist Debbie Deb for our 80’s Party. Our
Derby Party featured a live horse for photos, and
a carnival horse racing game, and a blue grass
band with exclusive whiskeys. The Halloween
Party was larger than ever for our 20th annual,
moving to Cuban Club allowing us to utilize the
entire outside parking lot to have a concert like
atmosphere and large projection mapping oozing
of Halloween craziness. Over 2,500 people were
in attendance! Our Ugly Sweater Party featured
a holiday outdoor market, snow machines, a
visit from Santa and the North Pole and upstairs
dance floor”. So how does one step up and make
it even better in 2018? According to Moyer, the
only way to find out is to purchase a ticket!
