From the creators of Estate Living , we take pride in announcing Volume 1 of The Developer Journal .
It ’ s taken years to get Estate Living to where it is today . Years of planning , visualisation , investigation , commissioning , writing articles , sourcing , collaboration and negotiation and – somehow , sometimes against all odds , making it all come together .
During this period , we ’ ve visited hundreds of estates , and spoken to a multitude of developers . We ’ ve shared their dreams , visions , their wildly ambitious plans – and their anguish when suppliers don ’ t supply , contractors break contracts , and service providers don ’ t provide . But most importantly , we ’ ve shared the joy of watching a project come together , the leap from paper and computer screen to bricks and mortar .
The one key ingredient of all of these processes is the ability to share experience , gain insight from other people ’ s successes and failures , and grow − not only our own creative ambitions but the industry as a whole .
It is in this spirit that we launch The Developer Journal . The intention is for it to be a resource to the industry and a place for property developers and suppliers to collaborate , share expertise , find innovation and inspiration .
In Volume 1 , we explore New Urbanisation – urban renewal through mixed-use development , as demand now dictates an integrated living and working environment . Further , crowdfunding opens creative opportunities and new possibilities for developer and investor alike , and we shed some light on fibre – pun intended . We all acknowledge the importance of sales , and on offer are some interesting solutions that incorporate technology and digital property management , public relations and , most importantly , communication .
We trust you will enjoy the development journey and expertise as much as what we have .
