Research shows that prolonged exposure to air greatly reduces
a trout, salmon or steelheads ability to recover after a fight and severely reduces productivity at spawning. While we have all
been guilty of those big, grip and grin hero shots, CalTrout is
making an effort to promote keeping your catch wet.
We suggest you try new creative camera angles to showcase
the beauty or size of your catch without hoisting them
up onto the bank or lifting them up into the
air for a prolonged period.
